Handmade story is a newly opened lifestyle concept cafe, owned by five best friends. Joanne is the managing manager of the cafe, while the rest of the owners have their own jobs outside. According to Joanne, that one of the partners is the former La Fetta's owner. The rest of their partners are photographer and a bakery chef. The five friends have came out with an idea to open a lifestyle concept restaurant.

Handmade Story is located at Damai Point, behind Yoyo Cafe. The interior design and furnitures were all designed by them own. The opening ceremony will be held around mid-September.

Comments : It is a friendly atmosphere of cafe, nice and cosy. Staffs ate very nice and friendly to their customers. However, the menu haven't been completed, but do not hesitate to ask the staffs to explain the menu. They also offered some other dishes like variety spaghetti and laksa which are haven't been included inside the menu. Coffee is great here, freshly and well brewed by Illy coffee.

Overall, It's a nice place for friends and family catching up or perhaps grab yourself a coffee and dessert!

Food & Wine Fair 2012

It's been a while from the last post that we did and finally we are back! Sorry for putting everyone on hold for quite a period of time.
Well, the KK food & wine fair was just ended couple days ago. The event was held on 25th and 26th of August at City Mall, it was the first Food & Wine Fair in Sabah. It was free entrance and offering sampling food and free tasting of wine as well. Beside that, there were also other shows contributed on this event, eg Miss Scuba, Cocktail Flair, Wine Talk, Cake decor demo, Baking demo, and fashion show. Lastly, the lucky draw presentation to end the event wonderfully.

Comments : This place is just a normal kopitiam where there is a satay stall right in front of the kopitiam. Impressed me much, the BBQ satays are to die for. They have lamb, beef and chicken satay, each cost $0.80, $0.60 and $0.60 respectively. Well, I strongly recommend you to go for the hot selling of lamb and beef. I didn't manage to take photo of beef flavor as I went there it all sold out. And one things that make them special is that homemade rich peanut sauce, trust me, people just love it so much! And you don't have to worry about the serving size, too small and not enough? Not a problem, because you can get refill anytime once you finish it, and most importantly it's free. Enjoy and dip the sauce with your satay of course bread and pressed rice to go with, Superb!
*Ps The satay stall only open from 4pm to 6pm so remember to come within this time. However, the kopitiam will be running from the morning.

Comments : This restaurant have been operated many many years and very famous in KK. I loved to be here since I was young and of course the foods are awesome. I'd think they serve the best "yu wat" which is some sort of homemade fish ball. Also, try the stew beef tendon as well, but one thing I didn't like was too salty for me.
*Ps Breakfast finishes quite early so make sure you get down here before 10am. They will be pack of people in the morning, thus their service sometimes takes very long. But, it is worthwhile.
